Procurement Specialist

Reports To: Sr. Project Manager
Location: Calgary –  Downtown

Job Purpose
The Procurement Specialist is a key player on the project team that is responsible for the sourcing, purchasing and expediting of all materials, equipment and services. You will oversee and carry out the activities and resources required to execute the procurement and contract management process.

 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities

 

Perform expediting function for required commodities and implement in
compliance with company procedures

Responsible for pre-qualification of suppliers, quote requisitions, negotiating
prices, terms, and delivery with vendors

Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders to address
their needs

Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and contractors

Evaluate and negotiate contracts

Award and administration of contracts and agreements

Complete the acquisition process on time and on budget

Develop strategies to obtain best value for the goods and services

 

 

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include:
 

Post-secondary education in Business Administration or similar discipline

5 years experience in EPCM project environment

Strong communication and organizational skills

Team player

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Preference will be given to those candidates with PMAC accreditation (SMCP–Supply Chain Management Professional designation)
